Vokey SM6 Wedges - Tour-Proven Grinds Titleis
- M Grind.
- If you are looking to buy one of these wedges, then the M Grind 54 is an all around option to select. The main man himself, designer Bob Vokey, lists the M Grind as his favorite of all the SM7 collection. The M Grind comes starts at 54 degrees loft and is available up to 62 degrees, making it a wedge more suited to the short game for most players
- The most chunk-proof wedge in the Vokey lineup is the K-grind, even though it's generally thought of as a bunker specialty club. You might consider trying one instead of your 60-D or maybe stick a 58-K in the bag along with the other two for a few rounds. I'm not saying that will necessarily work but it may be worth a try
- Vokey SM7 S Grind. The S Grind Vokey SM7 is the popular middle-of-the-road option in the current Titleist wedge lineup. The S Grind is geared towards golfers that will strike wedge shots with a square club face. It's built for those who aren't manipulating the face or angle of attack too much. Perfect for pretty much all turf conditions

I could be mistaken but the M grind provides relief on the sole's heel and toe. To make that effective, you have to play the face open for the heel or closed for the toe. I don't like the toed in shots so I left that off when I copied the grind on an older vokey, before they had all the different retial grinds The new Vokey WedgeWorks T Grind is available in 58 and 60 degrees. Right-handed only. Finish options include Tour Chrome and Raw. Pricing begins at $199. The price includes stamping, custom ferrule and custom shaft band. This grind is best for neutral to firm conditions and for players that like to control loft with their hands ahead or behind the ball
SM8 Wedge Buying Guide The Right Wedges For You - Vokey
- Vokey's Director of Marketing Jeremy Stone describes the new offering as the perfect embodiment of what Wedge Works is. Originally inspired by Tom Kite and a mainstay in Adam Scott's bag, the low-bounce K is the most popular Vokey grind on tour that isn't in the SM8 retail lineup
- Both Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas recently added Vokey T Grind lob wedges to their bags. Spieth first used the T Grind during his college career, but asked Vokey PGA Tour Rep Aaron Dill to build him a 60-degree T Grind for last season's Players Championship, which has stayed in the bag ever since

May 28, 2020 at 12:33 AM. Looking at your pictures it appears that wedges have only a small amount of material taken off of their trailing edges, making them look like full soles. If you look at the SM8 section under the heading of clubs you can get to a description of all of the current grinds that are offered Such is the case with the newly released WedgeWorks K Grind Sand Wedge. The story goes that the retail SM7 K Grind - available in lob wedge lofts (58° and 60°) - has proven popular and so the company wanted to expand the grind into the sand wedge space.. The ripple here is that with the new lofts (54° and 56°) Vokey has increased the bounced to 16°, making it the highest bounce. Vokey is already ahead of the curve so small tweaks to its lineup is all we should reasonably expect. In SM8, Vokey will still offer 6 grinds - F, S, M, K, L, and D. Sorry guys, I whiffed on my prediction of a T grind. That one will remain a Wedge Works-only offering

- Through a reimagined progressive center of gravity that produces the most accurate and forgiving Vokey wedge yet, tour-inspired grinds - the heart and sole of shot versatility, and maximum spin and total control with grooves cut to the edge, 100% inspected for conformity, and heat treated in the impact area to double durability, SM8 wedges are the most complete lineup from Vokey yet
